Roof Unit
Based in East London, Roof Unit provides desk and studio space for up to 20 creatives, complemented by a programme of talks and events.
For the last 5 years, Roof Unit founders, photographer Toby Smith and curator Chris Littlewood have been providing a supportive workspace in which photographers can develop their careers. Roof Unit have now joined forces with Four Corners, the centre for film and photography in East London, that offers gallery space, production support and darkrooms for lens-based practitioners of all levels. We also welcome videographer Tim Bowditch and Alexa Montgomery to the team as we look forward to the next 5 years.
As well as creating a fantastic working and social environment, we will be organising year round progammes of talks and events, from both our in-house team and in partnership with other arts organisations. We hope to inspire, stimulate and encourage practitioners to explore and understand their craft.
